Julie's first book, Konner Khronicles, is the first in a series of time travel adventures of two 'brothers'. In the adventure of a life-time Matt and Rob journey to 1840 from 2015 in their historical paddle-wheel steamboat on the Mississippi River on their way to New Orleans. Both brothers have to face a society that is far from how they grew up while retaining their brotherly relationship.

The Konner Khronicles are designed with six grade readers in mind, especially boys who hate to read. Hidden, within the adventure and secret society in the book, is history, science, geography, and of course reading!

Currently the second book in the Konner Khronicles is in process of being written.
Raised on a small livestock and hay farm in Southern Missouri, Julie now resides on a farm in Northcentral Missouri with her husband, Russel Swigart, and their many dogs. The mother of two grown daughters she spends her free time working with other authors to reach their goals of being published, showing her dogs, and developing promotional items for marketing books.
